Alamo, June 10, 1918 -- Mrs. Jane Johnson SIMMS died at the home of her son, Sherman Simms, Sat. afternoon at 2 o'clock. She was the widow of the late George W. SIMMS and had been a lifelong resident of Montgomery Co. She was b. near Crawfordsville Aug 28, 1842 and is survived by 3 sons, Sherman of this place; Frank of New Market and Omer of Darlington; two daughters, Mrs. Mary TAYLOR of ND: and Mrs. Joseph RIVERS of Alamo; two brothers, Laban and Alec Johnson of near Crawfordsville and two sisters, Mrs. Emma HUGHES and Mrs. Matilda HASLETT. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church. Fun. serv. will be held from the resident of Mr. Simms at 1:30 o'clock this aft. and interm. will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery - kbz
